The Genesis · review

Apart of Tezuka's 13 experimental films, Genesis is a parody of the beginning of man, women, animals and the world. Osamu actually diverts the belief that man came first and women birthed from the rib of Adam in a most comical way. The film suggest that God failed with women (really though man and women failed themselves with war, crime and perversion of the world and material possessions and what have you.), that he should start over, but this time with man coming first and women second. There is not much of a story here, just a very early piece of animated parody witha interesting and comical suggestion on how the world and everything in it, came to be.

Overall it is enjoyable and worth a watch for anyone looking to have a quick laugh.
