Review of Durarara!!

Durarara!! : 7.5 - NO SPOILERS This is my review from this series as a whole, which means that I’ll be talking about all the four seasons. Season 1 for me was incredible, the story itself wasn't mind blowing or anything, it was just ok... But the way it was presented made it very fun and entertaining to watch, the characters themselves were pretty much (most of them) amazing too. And at least for me, that is enough to make me love a show. Of course, it didn't have a proper conclusive ending, which ones I’m very fond of, and that's the one and only reasonit was not a 9/10 for me... Still, I’d give it a solid 8.5 :)

Seasons 2, 3 and 4... Well, here is where not having an actually GOOD story becomes a problem... For me the good qualities were just... decreased. We start getting introduced to more and more characters. The problem is that they're not nearly as good as the ones we already had, and of course they take some of the screen time, since they're needed for the story to unfold. And that's the main problem for me, the story was not good enough to justify the time I had to spent with those new fellas instead of spending it with the old ones. Along with this, some of the choices made by the two main protagonists happen to have the same problem, they're just stupid, and even though needed for the story to proceed, as I said before... The story's not good enough to justify those actions, so in the end, they're both just idiots.

I'd give Shou and Ten a score of 6.5
And for Ketsu a 7.5 (Since I felt it had a satisfying conclusion)
(8.5 + 8.5 + 6.5 + 6.5 + 7.5)/5 = 7,5 :D

I don't mean to say that the sequent seasons were bad, they still have the same good characters and storytelling from the first one, just not as much. Still, I’d say that if you want to watch season 1 only, that's more than okay. After all, it is the best season!!
