Review of Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom

I'll keep this very short: This is like a bearable train ride that goes off the rails towards the end. I can overlook a lot of things in anime but at some point a certain threshold is reached and then I start to get annoyed by things such as lazy writing, unnecessary characters, character actions that make zero sense and completely unrealistic events (unrealistic within the animes own universe). There was a decent plotline for the majority of the show but towards the end it feels like they ran out of ideas or forgot about what had happened up to that point in the story. Andto top it off apparently the ending here is the opposite (good/bad) of the original which doesnt fit at all.

It's like you eat a mediocre meal and are looking forward to desert only for it to add to your disappointment.

Very unsatisfying.
