Review of Shiki

Story: 8 The story is comparable to Tokyo Ghoul but in this series, they actually don't deviate from its main plot, which I think is a great move. Shiki is a series that tries to find a solution to a none solvable problem. Monsters/creatures are hiding within humans society and can only continue living by killing other humans. Unlike Tokyo Ghoul they do not focus on fight scenes or try and make the series more edgy and cool for the sake of the story. In my opinion, the story is really good but gradually decays its intensity and meaning over time through pointless characters. Art: 4 Shiki'sart style is decent if you compared it to its time. It was made in 2010 and u can clearly see it. There are also a bunch of characters that have some crazy hair for no reason and will definitely grab your attention.

Sound: 7
The soundtracks are pretty good and is also used very frequently. The downside is, that it's being too repetitive.

Characters: 7
In the start, we are introduced to a lot of great characters that are both mysterious and intriguing. Gradually over time, you are sadly introduced to a lot of useless and meaningless characters that hold no sentimental value. The further the series progresses more uninteresting and useless characters will appear.
With that said the main characters are phenomenal.

Enjoyment: 4
Halfway through the series I actually lost interest in the series. It all felt the same and the further I got the less I cared. I gave it another go and when I reached episode 17 I was interested again.
it is decently enjoyable since the ending is really good, but I cannot forget the incredible painful boredom I felt halfway through the season.

Shiki is a good show and if you can withstand 10 boring episodes, you will be rewarded with some great characters, plot twists, music, and a good final conclusion on a great story.
