Review of A Certain Magical Index

6/10

A Certain Magical Index I love Index, I really do. It's hella entertaining. There is really no boring moment here... in this city. It's because I love Index, that's why I will write a honest review. I will start arc to arc and write what I think about that arc and rate them. Index Arc : I think this is a bad start for Index. I have two complaints. First is about Stiyl and Kanzaki. Stiyl and Kanzaki told everything about Index's condition to Touma which is an outsider and doesn't known anything regarding magics. It resulted in Touma getting dragged into the Magic World. Because of that, manyassassinations were carried out to finish Touma.
Well, it was Touma's decision to get involved with it, but Stiyl and Kanzaki had the choice to not drag him in the Magic World.
Because of all these, Touma became a puppet of the Anglican Church.
Second is because of Stiyl,Kanzaki and Touma's persistence, Touma managed to lose his memories. Touma's action to shield Index pulled many strings in my heart.
I can't deny I felt so much in that scene but... It was destroyed by the new Touma. Touma hid the truth about his memories and continued to live.
He did it because he did not want to see Index cry. It's a very bad decision. He should have been honest.
Index will get sadder if she found out about this after they build a strong bond. And even if Touma didn't want to make Index cry, that is just delaying the inevitable.
It's a 4/10 arc for me.

Deep Blood Arc : This arc showed me how many people cherish Index and to what level they did want to save her.
To the extent that commiting a crime is nothing if its to save Index. It's a good arc, but I have 2 issues.
First, it's Himegami's arc, but Himegami barely gets screentime and it makes me wonder why this arc is even half about her.
Second, Izzard's choice of hideout. Izzard isolated himself inside Academy City thinking the Church's power cannot reach him.
But it's a bad choice since he is the in the Academy City, which is the enemy base of magicians like him.
It's a solid 7/10 for me, Better than the first arc.

Sisters Arc : I don't really want to rate this arc because Sisters Arc in Index is just the climax and a portion of its real glory.
But the Railgun version of it is 10/10 and my second favorite arc in all anime .

Angel Fall Arc : I'm allergic to this arc. I hate it from the start to beginning. I just can't accept the Angel Fall spell activated accidentally.
The souvenir's implacement accidenally followed the principles of Feng-Shui and created a ritual location for the Angel Fall.
What kind of twist is this? It's the worst twist I know. There is nothing good in this arc, nothing, not a single thing.
It's a 1/10 arc for me and I think this is the worst arc of all Index arcs.

Three Stories Arc : I love Accelerator's redemption story. It showed me that everyone can change.
Accelerator, who killed over 10000 Sisters, risked his life to save Last Order. This is the best, he took on the job to find and rescue Last Order as if it was natural.
Accelerator learned the "Value of a Life" of each Sisters .I just hope Accelerator continues to care about Misaka like this.
The other two stories are average. Accelerator's redemption story carried the arc so much it still managed to get 8/10 from me.

Kazakiri Kyouka Arc : This arc introduced a lot of new mysteries such as Aleister's true goal.
Aleister lured Sherry into the Academy City. He used her to achieve something. Tsuchimikado said Aleister is now one step ahead to reach his goal.
It really makes me theorize that spreading an Artificial Heaven isn't really Aleister's ultimate objective.
I also found out that even if the Level 6 Shift failed, Aleister still achieved his goals.
To spread the Sisters around the globe and saying its for their treatments. Aleister really is a smart one.
Kazakiri and Index's friendship, they are good friends. Even though Kazakiri regards herself as a monster, Index and Touma still considers her as human.
It's really moving.
This arc is a 8/10 for me, the reason it's just 8 is because I feel it's somehow lacking in something.
Im not sure to what it is but...
