Review of High School of the Dead

This is one ecchi/borderline hentai that I will make an exception for. Highschool of the Dead is a good anime because it's exciting to watch. The parts with the zombie killing really make up for whatever the show lacks. It's just fun to watch. The characters aren't much. I can admit that. Saya's basically just a rich tsundere girl and Ms. Shizuka's basically just your average blonde bimbo. Rei and Saeko pretty much complete the harem. Rei and Saeko have a bit more personality than the other girls though. Takashi also seems like a fine character because, from what I remember, he actually has a personalityof some sort and isn't just a "self-insert".

The music's pretty good at times. It doesn't take anything away from the show when it isn't though.

The animation and art is fine. It's nothing really new but it's not bad either.

I would give this show an overall rating of 10 but there's one issue with it. There's too much fanservice. It's not a big issue but I feel like some of it either isn't needed or is just ridiculous. Because of this, Highschool of the Dead gets a 9 instead.
