Review of High School DxD

This show is a example of what makes a good harm one of the biggest complaint's said about harem and or ecchi anime is that it doesn't bring much to the table other than soft to literal porn. At first, I was on this train as I thought to myself why watch ecchi anime if you can just watch porn? In terms of high school dxd its different not only just it has porn, but it also has a story sure not an original a lot of the elements are generic anime tropes. Even so still makes the story enjoyable by introducing that in thefirst place and giving Issei actual decent character devolvement. The series itself didn't need to be this lore filled plot but like seasoning to a dish it added more flavor to the series as a whole. The art stands out for now to the period it was released in the opening is amazing setting the mood of this devil vs angle world that it is while also giving good visuals to so that this still a harem. If that wasn't enough the ending is literally them dancing when looking at the Ost that go on in the show, they are also really good. Specialty an Ost called Kiki which sounds like rave but also captures that there is major conflict that characters have to face. On a smaller note, when the red dragon says boost, it reminds me of the announcer for the wisp powers in Sonic colors I don't know why. Anyways the character personalities and traits are not new even, so they are still able to become unique and mostly enjoyable to the viewer. The same can also be said about the story where its topic is different form the idea a guy wanting harem, but this time has to work for it again both still enjoyable. This is kind of contradicting because the fact that gets to be with Rias and everyone else is basically already has his harem. In conclusion this is a certified hood classic when it comes to watching harem anime for its standout topics about certain harm stereotypes.
