Review of High School DxD

High School DxD is an ecchi anime with an actual intriguing plot. Even though this show has a ton of fan service and nudity it still has a story that will have people invested in this show. Story- The story is about Issei Hyoudou a perverted 17 year old who is reincarnated as a devil by Rias Gremory who is the president of the Occult Research Club (ORC). Issei finds out later that he has a rare sacred gear called Boosted Gear that can boost power past god and satan. From there they, The ORC, get into battles with the other devil families which are theHouse of Sitri and the House of Phoenix. The second half of this season of High School DxD is about an arranged marriage between Rias and Riser Phoenix that she doesn't want to happen so they have a rating game to decide her fate.

Sound- High School DxD has really good voice acting in both the sub and dub. The music on the other hand is between good and really good.

Art- The animation for High School DxD is great for an ecchi anime. Even the action scenes are pretty epic with High School DxD's animation.

Characters- All the characters have great personalties. Issei is a pervert, but he is a likable characters because even though he thinks about the girls naked he does act nice to them and shows them respect most of the time. Although his antics can get annoying from time to time. Rias Gremory is the Issei's main love interest and the next heir to the House of Gremory and President of the ORC who is kind to mostly everyone she meets. Akeno who is a gentle girl who just happens to be into S&M. Asia who use to be a nun for the church. Kiba who is a loyal guy that a majority of the girls at Kuoh Academy have a crush on him. Finally there's Koneko who has a cold personality and despises Issei's perverted nature, however considers him a hard worker.

Enjoyment- I didn't expect for a show like High School DxD to be this entertaining with an actual story that the "plot" isn't what makes this show enjoyable even though there is a ton of fan service. It has really good action scenes, it shows how devils interact with angels and fallen angels, and shows what devils actually do. This is an anime that is definitely worth watching.
