Review of Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day
This review is my opinion on Anohana: The Flower we say that day. I hopped on to netflix today, at 3:30pm out of bordem on what to watch, even tho i'm still halfway on Hunter x Hunter, and halfway on Fullmetal Alchemist. I found alot of the anitubers I watch talk about Anohana (such as The Anime Man and more) and gave it a try. I kid you not the first 2 episodes I was in was hooked. Like I binged all 12 episodes in under 5 hours... Anohana is about a kid named Jinta Yadomi, who has a bunch of friends when he was little, andthey called the groups of friends "The Super Peace busters", where a girl in the group named Honma passed away, and after that the group goes all there separate ways. Honma comes back as a spirit/ghost thing, that only Jinta can see, so Jinta gets the gang back together to talk about and let Honma rest in peace in heaven
The artwork for this show was pretty decent too, although it wasn't extremely special, it was just anime artwork. It kinda reminded me of the artwork from Draling in the FRANXX and Legends of Voltron to be honest, The character designs for some characters like Naruko and her design for her hair, that I personally really like
This was also the first anime SERIES that made me cry, full on, eyes water, tears coming out, JUST because of that ending (which I will not say to avoid spoilers). The plot and overall idea of this show, is a plot that is getting me more into Slice of life, Drama, Romance another other genres other then the normal genres like Shounen
The ending for this show hit home, yanked my heart strings, and made my eyes start flooding wave polls. This show for me personally changed how I am going to see anime in the future, and just anime in general. Especially the part where they keeping screaming "WE ARE READY!!!" on the last episode, the people who watched it will know what i'm talking about
Essentially, this will be an anime that i'm glad to be growing up with, i'm going to rewatch this to get the water works coming again, and enjoy every second of this. This show will always be a classic to me, and i'll get my kids to watch this in the future.
