Review of Higurashi: When They Cry – Kai
The first season of Higurashi no Naku koro ni can't be truly appreciated without watching the second season Higurashi no naku koro ni kai. The unpredictable story really brings out the suspense, irony, and enjoyment of this anime. The ending of Higurashi no naku koro ni kai is perfect; not a depressing ending or a cliffhanger that pisses you off. The story progresses smoothly, keeping the each episode interesting and fresh. Story: The story has a very good plot leading from the first season. The complexity of the story make it very enjoyable and the unpredictability also keeps the story fresh. Art: The characters are well drawn ina sort cute kind of sense, which brings out eccentricity that gives the story a deeper sense.
Sound:
The voice acting for each character match up perfectly. The innocent voice and expression of Rika and Satako are really adorable.
Character:
Each character has their own individuality and traits. The way Keichi and Akasaka
are shown in some parts show how badass they are.
Enjoyment:
The enjoyment is very high, I finished this anime because I really ejoyed it; while most other anime I pick up and finish is because I don't like going halfway and quiting.
