Review of InuYasha the Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler
*Spoiler warning!* This movie is spectacular! To start, the art is way better then the show at the time was (this movie takes place right after episode 136, but it's not cannon.) and its very clean, sorta reminds me of the mix of a Naruto movie and a Studio Ghibli movie! There were some points where the art and minor CGI was wack and looked like a ps2 game, but that only happened like once or twice! In my opinion, the Art was beautiful, that's all I got to say about that! Characters were the same as always, but I feel like Inuyasha was somewhat, Iguess kinder? I don't know how to explain it but the way he acted seemed kinder then how he usually acts. The movie had a gloomier tone in the begging of the movie, unlike the first and second movies. It was sorta comforting, and it fit the time and plot very well! Regarding the plot, it was actually surprisingly good! Compared to the last movie, it was way more put together, and actually had me wanting to watch it all the way through, focus and all! The first 8-ish minutes were a sorta flashback of Inu No Taisho, Sesshomaru, Young Inuyasha, and Izayoi. I'm happy they put that in cause I kinda wanted to see what happened the day Inu No Taisho died, and how much he cared about Izayoi! The minor InuKag moments in this movie were to die for! They were adorable, no matter how minor! The fight scenes were very intense and well put together! And overall, this movie was amazing! 8/10 for me! :3
