Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion

Just as a warning, I am not an anime lover, (funny I know because I'm on this site that was recc'd by an internet weirdo who likes hockey and all my girl friends who are strange) I wouldn't call myself a huge anime fan. BUT, I binge-watched 24 episodes in one day. For me, this series is probably Japan's 2001. Rightfully criticized for being slow paced and abstract at times but all the same leading to deeper introspection. It isn't immune by any stretch to the standards that those who watch anime expect, at times its corny/cheesy at times its very strange in it's approachto children.
