Review of Bakemonogatari
Bakemonogatari 2009 was the first romance anime I watched back in high school. Honestly, when I first watched it, I didn't quite understand it and felt a bit confused. However, I really enjoyed the dialogues in each episode, especially those from Senjougahara. Her dialogues often made me smile to myself. Because of that, I became interested in following the entire Monogatari series, and the more I watched, the more amazed I became. If you recall, after Bakemonogatari, the anime Nekomonogatari (Kuro) was released, which is not a sequel but rather a prequel to Bakemonogatari. After following the series for some time, I realized that the Monogatariseries often releases with a non-linear storyline. So, based on the story's timeline, Bakemonogatari 2009 occurs after Kizumonogatari 1, 2, and 3, then Nekomonogatari (Kuro), and only after that comes Bakemonogatari.
I hope my explanation is clear. Now, in 2024, with plenty of free time, I decided to rewatch Bakemonogatari 2009. In my opinion, the comedy and jokes remain timeless. Even compared to the latest animes of this year, Bakemonogatari holds its own. Honestly, the dialogues in this anime are really good and funny. I'm sure anyone who watches it, or rewatch it, will find themselves smiling because the jokes and comedy in this anime are truly timeless.
