Review of Bakemonogatari
If you enjoy a story with a quirky style of witty references than Bakemonogatari is perfect for you. However, if this is your first monogatari series and you are watching it based on people telling you how good it was, then prepare to be confused. The monogatari series has an interesting take on oddities such as vampires, snakes etc. and is very familiar to the shinto religion which played a key role in asia's spiritual advancement. The art style is very bland, yet exquisitely beautiful (you'll see what I mean). This is actual one of the most well-drawn anime I have ever seen. As faras characters go the story is too deep to give them depth. The only character that possesses a sense of depth is Hanekawa and her ignored love. Overall I rate it as a good series, but this is boosted to a very good series by it's clever references and stunning visuals.
