Review of School Days

Find a way to watch it at 2x speed and enjoy the absolute shit show this ends up being. Dreadfully terrible. Edgy ending for the sake of it, and zero redeeming qualities. Every single woman in this show turns into a sexual conquest that Makoto achieves, none of them show any sense of guilt nor refrain from being used and it's completely frustrating to see characters written in a way where they awkwardly resist then go right at it seconds later. This series is a mish mash of tropes and edgy high school level writing, experiencing it like I recommended it, at 2x speed is the only way to not feel like your own time is being wasted.

The first twist makes the dynamics interesting, the girl who's hooking you up with another also has feelings for you? There's a lot to play off of and go from there. But the writers chose to psychologically torture and ruin an entire cast of characters, and end it on a pointless bloody note for the shock value.
