This anime got my attention with its mysterious name and picture. After reading the synopsis i was ready to start watching almost immediately. The beginning of the anime was brilliant. It was difficult to stop watching, the end of every episode had me clicking on the next and i couldn't stop. I loved the first 11 episodes so much that i would rate them a 10/10. Up to that point Requiem for the Phantom had me emotionally invested. i hadn't felt so emotionally connected since i watched Code Geas afew years ago.

After episode 11 there was some character development that in my opinion took away some of my interest. However the anime did recover shortly after and it again had me binge watching. Just when my love for this anime had hit the top, some events ruined the character relationships. Then to make matters worse there was a time skip that left me with unanswered questions.
The show started to fall after this time skip, i still enjoyed watching it but it wasn't 10/10 anymore. The final third of the anime had plot holes plus there were things that were illogical. The ending also was below my expectations. The first 2 thirds of the anime was a 9/10 to me but the final third was 7/10.

This is a good anime but it had the potential to be amazing but they squandered their potential. If you have time you should definitely watch it but you should keep in mind that the last few episodes are mediocre.
