One of those great mundane coming-of-age stories, set in an anime-film format that really treasures those mundane social quirks that are often cast away in pursuit of deranged romanticism, though I wouldn't ever go as far as to call anything "realistic". A pure pleasure to watch though - the art may not be outstanding - but it's a great work nonetheless. It touches you, and you can't help but feel involved with the characters as they evolve during this colorful 2-hour movie. Definitely worth watching, wish there were more of these kind of stories.
