Just because someone's friend is a nice person doesn't mean they're nice too. Sometimes, they're friends because the person's nice enough to have them. -Makoto Sunakawa Why is it that things are so important, like feelings, hearts, and souls, are things you can never see? -Gouda Takeo Story: Gouda Takeo, a freshfolk in high school really wants a girlfriend. But since Takeo isn't skinny and hot, so none of the girls find him attractive. They're always wanting to fall for his sexy friend, Makoto Sunakawa. One day while Makoto and Takeo are on the train home, Takeo prevents a groper from messing from this girl. Her name is RinkoYamato, and Takeo and Yamato fall in love. <3
That's mostly it.

Characters:
Takeo - He was hilarious and just the fun, gigantor the guys in his class loved to hang out with. Although like most dudes, Takeo was dense, but he always put other's feelings in front of his and did things that would hurt him, but made others happy.

Makoto - Seriously, he was my favorite character. Makoto was this really chill dude that's been Takeo's BFF from the start. Even though they're ying and yang, they get along very well. Makoto was the guy that gave Takeo all the dating advice, although he's never tried it out himself.

Yamato - She's cute, bubbly, and very clumsy. Yamato was the steriotypical girly-girl-I-care-about-you-lovey-dovey sort of way, and that's good.

Ai (Makoto's older sister) - Ai was pretty good too. She was this dramatic but caring college girl that secretly had a crush on Takeo, but eventually helped Yamato with Takeo.

Oda - This guy looked like Makoto's twin, but with funky hair. Oda had an obsessive crush on Ai and started to be her tail. Takeo helped him on his love path and Ai was like, "screw it, let's date."

Amami - !Yandare alert! This nerd had a seriously creepy crush on Makoto for 10 years. 10 YEARS SHE WAS STALKING HIM... Finally Amami came out of the corner and asked Makoto out, and I'm not telling you the results.

Maki (Takeo's baby sister) - This kid was mentioned more in the manga when Makoto was all like, "oh, I'll go away because Takeo doesn't need me anymore" and stuff. Maki is this overweight adorable baby that Takeo is about in love with (so is Yamato).

Art:
The art was very good. Some points in the episode when up close, you could see the characters were heavily inked which I loved. The colors fit the characters well, like giving Ichinose darker colors (being hot guy #2) and Makoto lighter colors (being hot guy #1). I liked how they made both the Sunakawas dress similar with bright, but not outgoing, colors.

Music:
At first, I absolutely HATED the opening. But at the last episodes, I savored the tune starting from the "My Christmas" episode because who knows why. The sound effects of people running were very overdone like in most anime. Yamato would run for 3 seconds and she'd act like she'd run a marathon or something by panting dramatically.

I thought Ore Mongatari was hilarious and an anime that lightened up my day. I'd pop it on and laugh along with Makoto and Takeo all day long. I'm not sure if the anime got a lot of likes, but it's a romance, so...??
One perverted request was that I wish they'd gotten more involved in the love and dating part like some henta- ok, I'll stop there.....

MOVIE:
They screwed it... They screwed everything!!!! Ai wasn't even mentioned! Neither was the Yandare girl or the pastry guy!!!
I didn't appreciate that more than half that movie was Takeo still thinking that Yamato like Makoto. It was infuriating to not see more of Takeo x Yamato. And the whole fire thing? You'd think it happened at MM Land from the looks of it. And I think it would've been better if they kept that one of the girls was trapped inside the building and such. It wouldn't affect Takeo and Yamato's relationship because you could clearly see that wasn't going anywhere. Also, the scene with Takeo and his father looking at the stars, what happened to Takeo, Yamato, and Makoto doing that?
One other thing I'll comment on is that they talked SO slowly. Even in the anime they kept up in conversation and didn't have to pause every 2 words.
I appreciate the fact they didn't make Yamato's voice over-the-top-3-year-old because that got on my nerves (although I got used to it). But god was that ending weird....
