Tsuki ga kirei, ah such a wonderful show that I would highly recommend to anyone out there looking for a nice refreshing romance anime. This show is an absolute hidden gem that I have never heard much being talking about online so I wanted to write this review to let you all know how amazing this show actually is and, lastly recommend that you watch it. As of writing this it holds a special place in my heart. Personal views: I first watched this anime while in high school (ironic I know since its set in early high school). I began watching it after I heard ananime youtuber called this "The most boring and realistic SOL romance there is" and that they fell asleep while watching it. Out of pure curiosity at the time I watched the show. With my initial viewing I reciprocated these thoughts of a boring show that didn't really go anywhere. I watch about half of the show and then dropped it either out of boredom or being busy with school, cant remember which. So if I had written this review back then it would have been quite a negative approach. Luckily after re-watching this show in university my goodness it was such a perfect show. It captured so many feelings and nuances about romance I didnt think anime could do. Such care and attention to detail was done with this show in its goal of showing a 'realistic' romance between young teenagers. This absolutely blew me away when I watched the show, I had no idea the emotions and feelings this anime would bring out in me. I felt so cosy and giddy while watching this series as if I had become a teenager again. This quality was amazingly done with progression of the anime feeling realistic and well paced. I could not believe I had watched a 24 minute episode because I was so invested and excited about what was happening that it felt like 30 minutes or more had passed. Feel (the studio) did a excellent job of providing great story telling each episode in a way that it didnt make each episode feel like a drag. It also did not use too many cliches of anime romance tropes like beach episodes or other random events. It had a festival episode but not many others like that. Again it had a realistic day to day approach on its progression. This helped make the romance elements feel grounded with its gradual advances from hand-holding, addressing each other by their first names and even kissing. None of these events felt forced while watching this show which was really refreshing from a lot of other slop romances. In the end I did tear up at the finale of this show because of how well directed and emotional it got. I'm so glad that it got a good happy ending otherwise I might have died due to heart break.
This concludes my personal views on Tsuki ga kirei and I hope you enjoyed reading through it. I will mention some other details about the show and then conclude my review.

Visuals:
I think that Tsuki ga kirei had decent good visuals and art. In many parts of the show there were moments/scenes with 3d character animations. These obviously looked janky and strange with the rest of the visuals but I get there are some limitations on how much studios can animate so I can forgive these short comings. Overall though the art style and visuals were good. Nothing bad that would make you want to glue your eyes shut. Many scenes were well drawn and the lack of ambient backgrounds when emotional scenes happened really helped immerse you in the realistic raw emotions of the scene.

Soundtrack:
I have to say I was so taken back by the OP of this anime because of how amazing and high quality it was. It sounded absolutely AMAZING. I loved it, (its in my Spotify playlist now) and the ED was very well done and relaxing at the end of each episode. The overall soundtrack for the anime was nice it accompanied many moments in the show and helped enhance the feelings when it was needed. But nothing jumps out as super amazing in the soundtrack while writing this review.

To be honest this show is just amazing to put it bluntly. From hundreds of shows I have watched this one honestly hit hard for me. Its raw emotions and feelings of how young teenagers experience and get through love was amazingly done. I'll be honest the show made me mentally go back to my teenage days and filled me with warm cosy emotions that I hadnt felt in a while. It also made me really happy watching the two characters journey with life and love.

Sorry if my review seems a bit unorganised or strange (its my first one) but I felt that I had to talk about this amazing show and get my feelings about it across to you. I hope that you decide to give it a watch after reading this I highly recommend it!
