Review of The Rising of the Shield Hero

I'm really oblivious to how much hate this anime cops? I don't know how anyone can give it below a 8/10. Possibly, it easily slips into my top 10 animes of all time. I watched all of it easily in one night. Although, I found it very similar to Sword Art Online and any Video Game Anime; it still had an interesting premise - that the Shield Hero is the 'Black Sheep' of the realm yet is redeemed. It was refreshing to watch the Shield Hero overcome each instance and protect the ones he loves best. The fighting scenes are absolutely fantastic! Although, I enjoyedthe likability of the main characters instead and their relationship.
