Sora yori mo Tooi Basho 10/10 I finally took a load off my back. Since 2018 I tried and tried to put Yorimoi in first in my favorites, but the 10 years of steins;gate in first didn't allow. But I finally decided to move on 8/6/2021 after reviewing and loving Yorimoi several times. Sora yori mo Tooi Basho has few episodes but is a true masterpiece. An incredible journey of self-awareness. It is an original work done by the excellent Madhouse studio. And I'll tell you, this was the best anime of 2018, without competition In Sora yori mo Tooi Basho there is no shortage of exciting scenes. Eventhough some may sound a little "forced". But they do work, and they can tear a few tears easily.
The interesting thing about Sora yori mo Tooi Basho is that it really works very well as a journey. And we are gradually noticing how events are transforming everyone involved in this trip. And the journey (step by step) to Antarctica is pretty cool too. And amazingly, you end up wanting to know the place too. Even if it never crossed your mind.
Madhouse's excitement doesn't disappoint. It is beautiful, at a high level. Production whims in the details. The soundtrack is very good and knows how to dose the moments of fun and excitement. Sora yori mo Tooi Basho has some very beautiful inserts songs that help shed tears and crown the scenes with pure emotion.
In short, Sora yori mo Tooi Basho is an anime you need to see. It is a great adventure, with lots of fun and exciting moments. A true process of self-knowledge. We reflect on our lives, friendships, dreams and goals. And we wonder: Have we ever made our “Antarctic trip”?
