Review of Blood Blockade Battlefront
A wonderful story. Leo is a great character and teeters the line between a reliable and unreliable narrator and that is what I think is fantastic. From our point of view, Leo is a kid prone to little outbursts here and there but for the most part, he's level-headed and most of the situations he gets in are due to his environment of living in a town full of humans, monsters, and everything in between. Watching Leo establish bonds with his seniors, White, as well as Black is so heartwarming to see. The soundtrack is SO UNDERRATED. Songs like On My Own and In TheCity, are by far my favorites on the soundtrack. It's jazzy and slightly reminiscent of producers like Nujabes or J Dilla. Honestly, the finale speaks for itself. This isn't the story of some super-powered kid or someone whose hyper-intelligent, this is simply about a boy named Leonardo Watch in an unfamiliar town. Would definitely recommend 10 times over.
