Tokimeki Tonight · review
So tokimeki tonight, an old cute vampire shoujo anime aired from 1982 to 1983 that I have watch not really long ago and I think it is a pretty good one that are an example of a wrong place wrong time because unfortunately enough it aired in the same year with many great anime that pretty much redifined the genre itself and for just a good shoujo it's not really enough for it to shine when most anime that year just decides to ascend to godhood for some reason but now for the score 1.Story: For story it is pretty much what a shoujo anime looklike back in the day, a good subtle love of a young girl that needs to follow tradition or else they can't come back to the human world again and to be fair it is a simple premise also but some time the story can get a bit random which fair since it is in the 80s so a 7 for this part.
2.Pace: Not the best or not the worst, it's just what TV schedule really are and I don't want to complain it either since it is unfair to compare it to our time so an 8 for this.
3.Character: Pretty much shoujo standards character at that time, a protective mother, a good dad who is a bit naive or not really, annoying little brother, a good main girl and a boxing main guy, and a rivalry girl that will takes advantage of the main girl anytime so a 7 for this one since it is nothing really special to be honest.
4. Performance: Overall an average anime from 1982 that have a standard animation at that time that doesn't really standout from others but to be fair the music is really really amazing and might probably be the best part in this anime as well so pretty much a 9 on this.
Overall a 7.75 out of 10 or to be fair an either 7 or 8 for me, and again unfortunate enough that it gets aired the same time as captain harlock, macross, space adventure cobra, mobile suite gundum: movie 3 and much more, that line up is pretty much insane which overshadowed this anime completely, even in the end of the anime it was telling us to wait for what would happen next then it get buried by an absolute monsters that just happen to be it's neighbor.
