Seeing how there's no reviews as of now, let me be the first. (First MAL Review) I've never really watched the magical girl genre, my only knowledge of the genre being 2 episodes of Pre-Cure. The shows first couple of episodes almost made me drop the series. But kept me engaged with it's interesting mc's. Meguru's personality from the start had me intrigued, a very nice person who strives to be a hero. Sumire was someone I didn't really like as much initially, but her character has really grown on me since. The initial class student friends hasn't grown on me as much. But the villainswho appear are very interesting to me. There interactions with the main mc's have been very interesting to watch. But at the same time the main baddie actually seems quite evil.

The battles have been few, but interesting to see the progression of skill as the character's combat ability grows. Training has been very intriguing and the slow pay off of it has been a nice thing to see in every new battle.

This show is a mix of me loving the characters interacting, and wondering what would happen next with all the show is setting up. Not to mention CUTE, at times I find myself thinking it's so cute. As someone who hasn't seen the prequel series, I'm very interested in the past now which may lead to me eventually watching the old series. Watching this show reminds me of times when I watched Saturday cartoons watching the hero beat the baddie, and this anime reminds me of those feelings.

So far this show has lots of potential with all it's setting up and I am looking forward to more. It's a very enjoyable watch to me so far, and I can't wait to see what this show has to offer next!!!

This was the first MAL review I ever wrote lol. It was so long ago in May 19, 2017 when I wrote this review. Since then I did eventually finish this show. It was good but certainly not a 10. This was back when anything that gave me good entertainment was a 10 in my book. Even though I have since changed this score I think I'll leave this here for nostalgia reasons. To remember a time when it's a 10 in my heart for simply giving me a load of fun. So if you decide to watch this show I hope you are filled with a similar feeling and if not you can always watch Madoka.
