One of the best parts of Koukou Tekkenden Tough is Oton, and whilst we wait for an English release if you can find this online it makes a great little aside and also provides a brilliant introduction to everyone's favourite, Jinsei Nagai whose own spin off is even better than this and at some points better than the main story of Tough. Oton is a great martial artist and an even greater father, I could easily read countless pages about his youth, his training, or even how he raised Kiibo and how he met his late wife. The art is fantastic, the action is complex butstill easy to follow for anyone familiar with the series or martial arts. The action is a lot less hot blooded than Tough but Oton's more methodical and levelled-headed approach makes for a great alternative to the frantic and often perilous battles we see Kiibo face in Tough.

It's genuinely a shame this is only two volumes, the only downside of this little aside is that it's little and ends rather abruptly.
