There is an ongoing debate on which Shin Chan film is best, with The Adult Empire Strikes Back (film 9) often considered considered the best, however, I believe that there is an argument to be made that Adventure in Henderland (Movie 4, this one) is the absolute best. The visuals of this film and the way they contribute to the story (in other words, the visual storytelling) are in my opinion, at their absolute best of the entire Shin Chan film series, in this film. One of the staff members involved with this film, is Atsuko Ishida, and she is well known for her workon Character Design, Animation Direction, and Animation, on the Magic Knight Rayearth TV anime. I believe that her work in bringing fantasy worlds to life, is unmatched in the anime industry. Her work on Rayearth seasons 1 and 2, and on this film, Adventure in Henderland, is among the most beautiful fantasy adventure work I have ever seen in 1990s anime. I implore you to give this film a fair shot even if you get the impression that this might just be a children's film (it really isn't Shin Chan was always designed to be engaging and meaningful for the entire family, and other great Shin Chan films such as Adult Empire Strikes back also proves that. I am keeping all of this as vague as possible avoiding spoilers because I don't want to ruin this amazing movie for you...
