This work is very good, especially if you are in the target audience. The animation and music are simple but serve their purpose. The coloring is subtle and simple, but it's noticeable on the clothes and walls and perfectly suits the work's atmosphere. The events unfold slowly but enjoyably. Anne's character is a young child discovering the painful world in her own innocent, childlike way. The story's narrative revolves around Anne's interactions with others throughout the events, and those dialogues are beautiful and simple. There is a great deal of reliance on Anne's internal dialogues, which was nice. How does she respond to those who insult herinternally?How do you deal with difficult situations? How do you talk to plants, furniture, and even mountains? How do you grieve innocently after a big problem? And how do you struggle and develop throughout the story?

The events are varied. There are good episodes and there are great episodes, but there are no episodes that are completely subpar.

I also love the characters, whether they are the main ones like Anne or even the occasional characters who appear in one or two episodes. I love how she portrays their different daily struggles and the varying effects of Anne's kind personality; some love her, some stay up late because of her optimism, and some see her as a mirror of themselves or someone dear to them.

There are major dramatic twists in the story; without spoiling Anne's life, things get tougher and tougher until she finally finds her own way.

Another point to note: this work is family-friendly and simple; it can be watched by a child, an adult, or someone who isn't interested in anime or this genre of stories.

My only criticism is the lack of respect for the original novel. I liked the work, but it didn't adapt the well-known events of the novel; instead, it created its own prequel.
