7.4/10 A high school girl living with a middle-aged office worker? Hmmm, where have I seen this concept before… Alright, so this manga is basically “Higehiro” with a supportive mother and no drama, so the story takes on a more wholesome, healing directive, but I can’t say it’s amazing, since the characters and plot are a bit sloppy at times. The characters are your usual bashful fmc and a workaholic mc who improves his daily life via the fmc, and the dynamic continues on from there — from what I’ve read, not much development should be going on, and the mc is a bit lackluster, ashe hasn’t really displayed adult qualities; yet, the story is still wholesome enough that it doesn’t matter much.

Besides for the plot being wholesome, it leaves a lot to be desired, since not a lot of attempts were made in the story to explain the backstory or the actual age of the characters besides for some vague flashbacks, which would’ve made the story much more immersive.

For a drama-less, wholesome “Higehiro,” this manga does its job, but there’s also a lot that could’ve been done to make the story much better. But who am I kidding, I’ll still read it.
