Amefuri Harete Hana Hikaru · review
This two-volume story is surprisingly striking and complex, given the short length. It's told in a way that's very nuanced and beautifully shows the humane aspects of the main character and how she suffers from her circumstances while also portraying how the people around her are affected by her choices. So I really liked how much was told within just these two volumes while also having some side characters with fun personalities. I really liked the art style and especially loved Hikaru's crush, Hana, was drawn, there's some really detailed and stunning panels in here. Also the dog was really really cute! I think Ipersonally would have wished that Hana was developed a bit more or that we would have gotten to see some more of her personality and seen her as a more complex character. On one hand it was fun to see her as this mysterious and slightly unpredictable lady that's only seen through Hikaru's rose tinted glasses but especially once Hikaru made her decision, I would have hoped that the focus was less on the husband and his friends and more on the relationship between Hikaru and Hana and how that kind of turned out.
