Mune ga Naru no wa Kimi no Sei is a pretty generic shoujo. Worse, it's one of those I personally find very annoying due to blaming the female protagonist for things that really the guys around her are responsible for. She blames herself for being non-consensually kissed and fears she will be hated, and she's blamed for not guarding herself enough around guys. The guys never really get the consequences they deserve for their actions either, such as the protagonist getting rightfully angry at them. It just feels like it's buying into sexist ideas about women being responsible for the questionable-at-best acts of men. Ontop of that, really all their problems could be solved by just actually communicating clearly with each other, which is essentially how everything is resolved. Then I can't help but wonder what was the point of enduring all these infuriating conflicts in the first place?
