The first manga in the series is definitely the better one. It takes a while for this one to get interesting (like chapter 70ish is where it picks up) so if you wanna watch the shenanigans of sexually depraved homeless people then id say read it. I think Kurosawas character takes a big hit during the events of this manga as well. The first installment made him a complex character with obvious flaws but the drive to change his life and the lives of others around him if possible. You wanted to see him make a better life for himself and get more confident whereasin this manga he just kinda shoots the shit and doesn't do much while being unsatisfied with his life ( it doesn't help that his creep virgin behavior is turned up a few notches in this one).

Overall, the first installment could've been the last one, as only the later arc of a duel between Kurosawa and a hoax martial artist is worth reading out of this one. It sucks that this installment didn't do more with itself since Kuros character was a unique blend of 'i hate this guy hit him with a hammer' and 'wow he's kind of a blue collar philosopher and a good guy under that weirdo shell'.
