Editing this review after watching season 3 . Fking donghua damm Good so first 1-2 season mid 6.8. then mfs it becomes 9.7. worth watching. Visually Stunning, but Narratively Flawed ​Tomb of Fallen Gods (Shen Mu) is a mixed bag. As a reader of the original web novel, I found the donghua adaptation disappointing; it is not faithful to the book, with significant plot changes and several key characters removed entirely. ​However, for newcomers who haven't read the novel, it offers a decent viewing experience. The animation quality and music are solid highlights that make it enjoyable. On the downside, the protagonist often feels surprisingly useless despitehis background as an "ancient entity," which can be frustrating to watch. Additionally, the subtitle quality is quite poor, which hinders the experience.
​It is a good "popcorn" show if you ignore the source material, but don't expect a masterpiece.
