Koi wo Suru ni wa Lv. ga Tarimasen! · review
I quite like the story. Both main characters are endearing, and their growing attraction is sweet to see. The story is also paced decently, and I get to feel the MC's changing feelings better. My quibbles are two. First is that there is a bit of... Dubcon scene, in the second chapter, that ultimately leads to a temporary rejection. Not only does this feel a bit out of place in this overall wholesome romance, this also feels like an unnecessary complication for a single tankoubon story. I understand that the readers of the magazine version need some hook to keep them guessing, and in thatcontext this scene is treated well...but I can't help feeling there could be something better.
Second is that a single tankoubon cannot exactly tell the amount of topics this story is approaching, and as the result the MMORPG side of the story gets sidelined pretty quickly. Not only is this a bit disappointing if you came here looking for a video game romance, this renders the inciting event null... And the eventual revelation ends up falling flat.
But outside of these two, everything runs smooth enough.
