Spoiler warning

This review may discuss plot details.

I don't know how I ended up here. Lol I was not really interested in watching it, but the OP actually slapped. I guess I was easily interested, huh? Never knew that. How did I find this? YouTube suggested the OP for this anime. I was curious and eager to watch it. Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?) I have never watched those retro plots where an overactive girl who loves vampires meets a real vampire. This is my first exposure to that genre.Platform
Aniplus Asia (Southeast Asia), Bahamut Anime Crazy (Taiwan), and Crunchyroll.

The review;
Plot/Story
A girl named Lynn Reinwe... Wait, sorry, is that a freaking German letter? Reinweiß? I'm shocked. I have never seen an anime character using a German letter. But then again, I didn't watch anime during the pandemic, so I might miss a couple of anime characters using those letters...

Anyway, yeah, Lynn Reinweiß is a Heiress of the Reinweiß family... well, she used to be until things happened to her family. That event led her to meet Arne Neuntöter. Before going further, I have to mention that Lynn has a huge fantasy about a vampire. And wouldn't you know it, Arne is actually a vampire. He is not only a vampire, but he is also a detective.

After knowing who he is, Lyne asked to join forces with Arne to uncover the truth about her family's tragic event, while also becoming his assistant detective.

Ok, that's the gist of it. The overall plot? Not really great. I was wondering why the story feels all over the place. I have to mention this! After the first arc... wait, no, the first episode was not about Lynn. I forgot. They baited the viewer to think that the boy from the first episode would join forces, too, but no.

After the SECOND arc, which is the origin of Lynn joining Arne, the story lost their footing. They literally went the other way and did not focus on Lynn's story. And *Spoiler Alert* by the end of the story, they tie the knot in every case/arc. They wrapped up by saying those cases are all connected.

SUUUURE.
See, here is the thing. I've just found out that this anime source material is a game. JRPG at that. I could already think why the story is so loosely connected. After learning that, I might just pick up the game. The overall story is not worth watching the anime. Trust me.

Character
Charming.
The characters' designs are cute.
Their personalities are great.

Overall, the characters are good. Too bad the story didn't make this charming character shine.

OST/SFX
The OP was fantastic. I love the song and how the animation moves as the song is sung. ED was great too. Nothing specific to talk about.

OP and ED aside, the OST and SFX in the anime itself, Two Thumbs Up!

Animation
This one is a wild card.
You see, it's been a long time since I've seen one of Silver Link's anime. The one that I watched TWICE was Kokoro Connect. That was great, but Arne? It was a weird one.
Most of the time it was okay, but the episode 10 to 12 aired...

Those episodes, man. I think they still have a lot of money to work on the anime. Those are the only episodes that they work hard on. The camera works, and cinematography on the last 3 episodes was incredible.
I don't know how to feel about this section, to be honest. All I could say, I enjoy watching it.

VA
Two Thumbs Up!

The conclusion;
Enjoyable
Yeah. I did enjoy it, but not much.

Worthable
As I said at the beginning, I was not really interested, but because of that OP, I delved in.
Is it worth it? No, but it did make me want to play the game.

Delivery
It's great. I wasn't disappointed with the production. I mean, episodes 10 to 12 alone make it very clear that they can do better.

OG Sauce
From the looks of the anime, I might want to play the game.

Overall 7.1/10
I just enjoy the anime for fun. That's it. I don't know if I would recommend it to you. I've heard there were series that did better on this specific genre of TV entertainment.
