Compared to Momo, this story has a lot more drama. There's broken friendships, breakups, self-esteem issues, threesomes... Kuju Siam definitely has the chops to write these plots in a nuanced, respectful, and I do end up enjoying it a lot more than other BLs. I think the narrative tries its best to balance the fluff and the human flaws. But at the same time, I also think the 'verse' strains a bit to hold on the amount of drama of this particular volume. And then there's hedgehog sex. Which is...uhhhh...UHHHHH..... So in the end, while this is still a very good story, and as much as I enjoyhow the story unfolded, I think I like Hachi a bit less compared to Momo.
