Reiji Mano is a forensic scientist at the Forensic Research Laboratory in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Departmen. He doesn't think too highly of police because of their half-assed investigation led to the wrong conclusion when his family was murdered. He pokes his nose in every investigation and cases and examines everything humanly imaginable. Even though his efforts lead to the truth, the detectives hate him and his ways. Only thing he thinks about is how to improve forensic methods and catching the killer who killed his family. It also shows various problems and life of others who work in forensics. Including his gorgeous boss who is alwayson his side and protects him from the wrath of the overworked coworkers.

He is the best in forensics possessing a vast amount of knowledge and having excellent technique. However, he is a lone wolf who does not cooperate with others. This all changes when Nonna Sawaguchi, a rookie forensic science researcherp begins to work with Reiji Mano. Because of their work together, Reiji Mano begins to open up to others and Nonna Sawaguchi matures as a forensic science researcher and learns from the genius scientist gradually admiring him.

Don't expect too much comedy if any, some chapters are too painful.
