Review of Vermeil in Gold

I was looking for some trashy Magic Academy anime when I stumbled upon Vermeil in Gold. Indeed, it was gold just like the name of the show. Although the duels and the exams at such a Magic Academy were rather cliche, the presence of Vermeil makes the story exciting. Her backstory revealed near the end of the season is especially a tear-jerker, delivered with such finesse and great execution. - Story: 8/10 (decent pacing, lack of setup and suspense was the only problem) - Characters: 8/10 (likable, somewhat memorable characters) - Animation: 9/10 (incredible, didn't expect such good animation for a relatively unknown show) - Family-friendly: ABSOLUTELY YES(watch it with your family)
