Review of Banished From The Hero's Party, I Decided To Live A Quiet Life In The Countryside
The whole time I was watching this, I was thinking this show is for sure a 5, but I'm enjoying it enough to give it a 6. That got thrown out the window in the last third with how inane the plot goes, and the ridiculous plot armor a few characters have. I won't spoil anything in this review though. Despite it's abruptness, I did enjoy the romance aspect of the couple. It felt nice to see it grow. The animation is mostly serviceable, but can get quite bad at times. I don't think I've watched a fight in anime where it didn't look like thehit even landed, like it was a live action fight where they were pulling punches. I guess that wasn't really the focus of this show, but it was bad enough for me to notice a lot.
The theme of doing what you want is nice enough, but the cause of the quitting seemed less personal and more forced than the show made it out to be. Fanservice wise, it's not as bad as a lot of shows, but it's got a fair amount here and there. The thing I liked the most was the romance aspect, but I haven't seen a good one in awhile so I may be starved. There's not really much to recommend here, so I'd give it a pass.
