Review of Dorohedoro

Fantastic world-building and unique characters. The setting is gritty and the violence is over the top but it works well with the irreverent and comedic tone. Although it is primarily a dark comedy/ action, an element of mystery partially drives the story. Further, the music and voice acting are very fitting and a nice cherry on top of a great first season. The story itself is rather chaotic but not difficult to follow. For me, the wildness of the events is part of the charm. While not every character is as interesting as all the others they each have a unique personality and bring something special tothe show.
The art is very well done and while I tend to dislike 3D animated fights they pull it off pretty well here.
I greatly enjoyed the show and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind the graphic violence and enjoys the contrasting silliness.
The only downside is there has not been a season two announced which is tragic.
