Review of Dorohedoro
MAPPA is quickly becoming one of my favorite studios with them taking on abnormal stories, this being no exception. I do have to say if you are an anime purist an no CG can touch the visual gold of the medium and blah blah then you are going to hate this seeing as its entirely CG. Once I adjusted to the CG a great story awaited me. I also know this is an adaptation of a manga by Q. Hayashida but I had never read it. I never like doing the story because I basically make a summary of it so strait to ~ART~ its CGas I already said but the CG is well done with only a few CG related errors, stiff models and weird connections in shoulders or elbows, nothing to big but still there.
~SOUND~ has never been something that I care to much about but I suppose that probably for the best. In this specific case however I found no issues with sound there where never any out of place sounds or music that never fit the situation, when things hit each other they made believable sounds and the subs mostly matched what was being said.
~CHARACTER~
The look of the character where very cool especial the sorcerers and caiman
but besides them every single character background main or supporting seemed like their own person bar the monks in like episode 6. The family was a joy to watch when ever we got to see them and the residence of hole where hilarious as well. All of the characters had personality and at some level served a purpose in their groups.
~END~
The series was a blast to watch and I loved the premise and execution. It even set itself up for a season 2
~TL;DR~
good show watch
