Review of Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro
Nagatoro is a show I feel like shouldn't be as good as it was, but I had an absolute blast watching it. The comedy is great, the wholesome scenes are exactly that and there are some really good visual gags too. Overall the characters are great and no moment feels dull, even if the side characters don't have a lot of depth they are incredibly fun to watch and that's all they really need to be. This show is less plot based and more just a load of skits put together, however these skits aren't random and do accommodate for changes in the characters as itgoes on. None of them felt boring to me and I really liked a lot of the jokes. The show isn't all comedy however, and imo it perfectly balances serious moments with its comedy - there are so many parts that make you smile so hard because they're just so cute.
The art in this show surprisingly stood out to me, I didn't expect it to but there are some really nice shots and the artstyle itself is really nice too. The animation is pretty good as well, there are a lot of really funny visual gags, and not to mention all the hilarious faces that Nagatoro has throughout the show.
Overall I really enjoyed Nagatoro, it features great comedy and a lot of incredibly cute and wholesome moments too in a perfect blend, I definitely recommend it as one of the better lighthearted comedies I've seen!
