Review of Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School - Future Arc

[SPOILERS...AGAIN!] Ahhhhhhhh, yes. The OTHER side of the Danganronpa 3 coin: Future. Let's hop right into this. Story: 6/10 Surprisingly, the story on this side is quite a bit better than the Despair Arc's story. It makes a bit more sense and the characters overall are a lot more...likable weirdly compared to the DR2 versions of some of these guys (since some of them crossover between both.) I liked the callback moments to Danganronpa 1 (since it's story overall WAS better than 2's, at least in my opinion) and was a bit easier to understand in terms of HOW it connects to the games. Still not GODLY fora story, but for what it was, it was good. The characters act appropriately and aren't too out of character (in the case of all the returning characters, which I adore because they were genuinely well handled.)

Visuals: 7/10

Once again, there's some good art here...and I absolutely LOVE Makoto in a Tuxedo. To be serious though, the designs for all of the characters looks fine enough (even if the original characters are a bit bland.) There's A LOT of red being used and while I think it looks nice, it gets repetitive seeing it all again by the end, definitely watch Despair Arc along with this as a color-palette cleanser. Animations for the fights that happen here are alright, nothing spectacular, but nice...even if it DOES feel a little out of place for something like Danganronpa.

Sound: 7/10

Once again, good voices for the sub (didn't watch the dub because of how TRASH Monokuma's voice was...seriously, his voice is THAT BAD. The English dub voices are good to from what I've heard of them.) The soundtrack has some songs from the games again and some original pieces just like the Despair Arc and its all good, nothing crazy though.

Overall: 7/10

This one...is better than Despair Arc by a little bit, mostly in terms of the story. I'm a little more forgiving though towards this Arc probably because of the fact I like Danganronpa more than 2, but that shouldn't influence this score really at all. For it is, it's an alright show to add onto the story of the games...it's just a shame there really wasn't a good to get this anime adapted into a game. This one's also for Danganronpa super-fans only.
