Review of Dan Da Dan
It's like watching Gurren Lagann but horny. Great animation and soundtrack for the most part, actually lovable characters. I liked the tight pacing expecting 3-4 mini arcs in season 1, but the rather abrupt (by that I mean mid arc, without any conclusion) ending at the end felt genuinely jarring, like a bullet train going from 120mph to 0 in a second. The inertia of the breakneck pacing to this sudden end made me think that this should have been either longer by atleast one episode, or should have been split into cours for atleast some continuity. As it is I can say that theshow has a heart, with genuine moments between absolute batshit crazy shenanigans, and the heart is what makes it stand out to me than any of the hijinks. I can somewhat liken it to a more focused Gintama in that sense, with a rambunctious main cast slowly coming to accept each other and help others even if they were butting heads previously.
I am left wanting for more of the show, which is generally a good sign, and hence I will give it a 7, I cannot give it more due to how it ended abruptly.
