Review of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

Seeing how Frieren rose to the top of MyAnimeList, I avoided watching it. It angered me to see a story with a concept so overused that still seamlessly surpassed the greats I've loved all these years. Despite that, I was blown away. When I put my pride down and watched it, I can now see why it's as popular as it is. This anime has had me in deep thought for the last week or so. How impactful can we make our small lives out to be? How long do we have before our names are completely forgotten in history? Frieren has a strange magic to it.Animation to rival the best of its genre, a beautiful musical score, and a good story to wrap it all up. It has the power to bring emotion to the viewer because of its unique way of storytelling. Allowing calm moments to be serene, along with its strange but cinematic way of displaying these moments.

Frieren is art, it is refreshing, and most of all, it is thought-provoking. Coming from someone who hated it, anyone who hasn't watched it yet should watch it immediately.
