Review of given
Honestly Given is one of my favorite anime of all time and I've watched many of the popular ones too. It's really different from your normal romance anime as there's no extreme scenarios or anything. There were no cliches at all that I could have picked up from if compared to a regular romance anime. The lighting in this anime was amazing and it gave a great ambiance and calming feeling. This show was incredibly relatable as each scenario was followed up with a physical or verbal display of feelings by the characters. The characters encountered problems that any normal person would encounter in their lifetimeand it had many characters who supported other characters through their problems rather than watching on the sidelines. There was no supervillain in this anime that made me harbor extreme hate towards the character; each character was likable in their own ways.
The music in this anime was amazing and gave me goosebumps at times. The added comedic bits break away from the tensive parts of the anime and especially the voice acting in many parts prove to be so relatable that it adds a bit of humor as well.
Overall the anime was a rollercoaster. There were just the right amounts of sad, happy, and funny bits to make the anime the best it could be. The anime was also properly paced despite being only 11 episodes. I even hope that not all the plotholes are covered in the upcoming 2020 movie so that I can enjoy and season of this. I'm trying my best not to read the manga beforehand so as to spoil the anime for this.
