First I should say that Throw Away the Suit Together is a manga that goes the realistic route, there is no fairytale happily ever after where everything is perfect. If you are looking for a solely cute slice of life in the sticks, then this work is probably not for you. The manga starts off really fantastical and dreamy with how two girlfriends break away from their stressful day to day life in the city and moves to a small island where they feel like settling down. But like most young adults realise, life isn’t always going to be as you expect. As someone who’sdone something similar, and failed miserably at it I might add, I was quite happy to see the mangaka depict the harsh reality that life can be. It does a wonderful job with making the two main characters go through very realistic scenarios and struggles that a lot of people will feel somewhat familiar with. I for one want to praise it for taking the very realistic approach.

The one big downside for me is that the end should have been dragged out a bit more, but I assume the manga got axed or something similar. That doesn’t mean the ending is bad, I still really liked it, but it did feel somewhat rushed.

I’d give it 8/10 and would probably have rated it higher if the ending didn’t feel rushed.
