It's a solid premise, done really REALLY well. At its core this is just the peaceful days of two men growing close together. Dramas and conflicts are delightfully low stakes, and the focus instead lies in portraying the main characters' growth and the sweetness of their relationship. It's so damn cute ahgghghghhghghghghghghgg. But it's also more than cute. The narrative doesn't really rush through romantic plot beats, instead taking daily events calmly and patiently, letting the characters, their interactions, and the reactions they have to drive the story forward. There's no melodrama here, and while every now and then there are misunderstanding, it's very light in comparison to thecommunication they're having.
I love both main characters. Their character growth since the first volume are really nice, but also...their love to each other is clearly palpable without dramatic gestures. They think and worry and care for each other in every chapter, and the growth is fully heartwarming.
So good. So, so good.
