The premise of this anime is that a race of alien cats comes to Earth and, after observing humans, they believe that cats are the rulers. However after spending some time with them they learn that this is the exact opposite. That concept sounds hilarious, doesn’t it? Then please tell me how the hell they made it boring. I have no idea, but they somehow managed that. It’s not completely dull, there are entertaining moments here and there, but they are few and far between, even though this seems like such an easy idea to make funny and entertaining. Witha few exceptions most of the characters aren’t anything even close to resembling likable or entertaining. I did like the character design of the main female character, as well as her base personality. But even with that second part she’s not that unique. Komi Shouko, Hitori Gotoh, and many others are just like her, and they do it much better. It’s basically just surface level glitter for this chick. And she’s the most interesting one. This was just as log to get through, especially since it’s 24 episodes, and it has no English dub, so I have to watch it constantly to follow it. Although to be fair there’s not a lot to follow with this one. The biggets sin is just that it’s not funny for the most part. I can forgive a comedy anime having a broken or nonexistent plot if it’s funny.
