Spoiler warning
This review may discuss plot details.
It's expected that when reading into this genre, it's inevitably gonna dabble on some misery porn, and ngl, the first volume felt like was going with this route especially when tropes like the stalker ex and perverted uncle was introduced. It got worse when we get to see Mako's POV. However, I also did felt that this story is doing something different for using a revenge plot device to say that she didn't deserve none of it and that shitty people who repeatedly takes advantage of people and perpetuates the trauma needs to die. End of discussion. Overall, I enjoyed the art, the message, andthe story despite how it might be a bit cliche.
