Hlo to you reading the reviews of this series.. I'll start this review by saying that I wouldn't have done this normally, if it wasn't for the fact that an anime adaptation will start soon and you can find only two negative opinions for now, made by people that didn't get past the first ten chapters. First of all, STORY - 6.5/10 (not that bad as you'd think reading the summary): it's true that it's not an original setting, but it's done better than 90% of the likes of it. (Plot) The main character is banished from the hero party because he's seen as useless, but in realityhe's the one that did most of the job and is abnormally strong for his class. He joins the guild to earn some money to survive and while doing his first quest he meets his first future companion. He then starts to take on new adventures and everytime he meets new strong characters in need, he helps them and they join him. In the meantime you are shown the hero party who wants him back after realising the error they made, except for the hero that became envious of him.
ART - 7.5/10 (it's enjoyable):
the drawing aren't bad, they are clean and backgrounds are there. There's not an excessive fan service at all, apart for a couple of scenes very similar between them, but they aren't over the line and the drawings make it so that censor isn't needed.
CHARACTERS - 7/10 (they do what they are supposed to):
the MC is your classic character that thinks to be weak, while being exceptionally strong.. thanks for you, he gets past it and start behaving normally, fighting together with the others knowing his role. He's still kinda dense as too many of your MCs in latest mangas, so sometimes you just have to hate him for that, although thank god most of the time he's an enjoyable character because of how he helps the others without sounding idealistic af as you'd expect from a similar protagonists.
As for the other important characters, ofc, they are all female characters.. and don't ask me how this isn't listed as an harem between the other genres. However, the girls aren't bad characters, they make the story fun to read and they have a way better character design than the MC. They all belong to different races of that world and so they each have different powers and featurers. Somebody could say that there's one corresponting to a little sister and one to a big sister type type of character in the group, then there are two twins and lately it seems a god race loli is joining the group.
ENJOYMENT - 7.5/10 (not bad at all):
it was a good read to pass the time, kind of a fast and easy one. The manga is chill and not complicated in any sort of way: even speaking of moves and skills, there aren't that many, you can easily tell what's going on and still manage not to get bored of the same attacks; there aren't even those annoying status pannels or levels to raise since this isn't a game sorta world and that's good imo. I also think all readers will manage to pick a different favourite character out of this story, since they are all well written in a way that makes you like them for the atmosphere they bring to the MC's party.
OVERALL: (recommended as a reading to kill time, if you are searching for sth not expecting it to be a masterpiece).
Thank you for your attention, I hope I have been of help to you and that you'll find the good reading you're serching for.
Bye~ I whish you a good time.
